A substrate page is a use-case path with checklist discipline. High-opacity whites is not a moodboard. It is a sequence you can run when the week is already loud. We open with the outcome, name the anilox path that carries the gear (Ceramic Anilox 300), and keep a pressroom note nearby so language stays consistent across the desk.
Day one: write the substrate and ink system in one sentence and pick the primary anilox path. Day two: photograph the first good impression and pin the check card. Day three: run doctor or tape checks twice. Day four: confirm white underprint or barcode rules if the SKU needs them. Day five: review scrap and what needs a different path.
South African converters often skip day two. That is how soft barcodes arrive at retail. High-opacity whites insists on the checklist before the marketing photo. If load-shedding truncates the evening, compress days three and four into a single power window and protect the checklist, never the decorative work. Make sure you separate the checklist from the pretty pack photo when someone is shooting launch assets.
