Structured colour and anilox review loop for multi-SKU label weeks.
South African flexo shifts rarely fail because someone forgot a moodboard. They fail when an anilox is dirty before make-ready, or a plate mounts soft on a firm job. Colour Proof Loop has a practical job on the press: keep ink transfer honest at the rate your substrate actually runs. We write for Midrand label bays, Isando film cells, and coastal plants that still deal with load-shedding mid-afternoon.
Start by naming the substrate and the ink system. Water-based film wants different volume feel than UV labels. Corrugated solids want firm tape that soft vignettes do not. Colour Proof Loop assumes operators who will not read a forty-page manual between SKU swaps. We keep screens, bcm bands, and mount notes on short cards you can pin above the press.
Do not skip the first impression photo. Every commissioning pack includes a brief card and a tip to photograph the first good impression of the shift. That is the difference between a calm restart and a scrap WhatsApp at 05:40.
You leave with gear matched to the substrate, a check card, and a short care note. We avoid theatre. We prefer one clear press path that survives Highveld dust, coastal humidity, and mid-shift label changes. Where a substrate use-case is better, we say so and point you to Substrates.
Interlink the anilox or plate path to a substrate before you widen scope. A substrate is the week. The anilox path is the gear. Read the paired note under Pressroom so the language matches what your press lead will hear. Flexography packs assume Germiston power windows, OR Tambo export weeks, Highveld summer film softness, and coastal condensation on plates. We do not pretend an anilox replaces common sense on ink viscosity or impression. We orient the press so the shift stays calmer.
Coastal grit changes filter care. Inland dust changes how often you clean ceramic cells. Power cuts change when you photograph an impression card. A showroom hour is a booked demo, not a retainer pitch. If your press is past the starter stage, say so in the email. We will point you to Ceramic 400 or Colour Proof Loop instead of pretending every plant is day zero. Make sure you separate the washout start from the mount when plates and mounts share a bay.
